Concerned about this, the president as the commander of chief he can do this, it's legal. he can do it. but they're concerned about the signal that it sends. that it might impact morale among troops who look at this -- who are supposed to look at the ucmj process, the uniform code of military justice, and the administrative process, they're supposed to have confidence they will work. if the president circumvents the process or intervenes, then the concern is that the average joe sailor, airmen, marine, will no longer look at those processes as having authority. we're talking about eddie gallag...
