LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -- The La Crosse County Board approved a grant Thursday night that aims to help those facing a mental health crisis.
La Crosse County Board has approved a $370,000 grant over three years to enhance the joint efforts between the City of La Crosse and the county in improving response to mental health crisis situations. The Connect and Protect grant aims to provide timely resources, reducing hospitalization and criminalization, and expanding response hours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- Today, was the final day of a two-day crisis intervention partners training program to combat mental illnesses.
The La Crosse Police Department held mental health crisis training for partner organizations on Tuesday and Wednesday.
