The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has condemned the reported rearrest of a social media influencer, Mr Nnamdi Chude. Nnamdi, a supporter of the Labour Party and Peter Obi who was arrested by the police in Anambra State during the March 18, governorship and State Assembly elections, had said he was accused of “calling out” the police and planning to stage a protest to overthrow the government.

Chude Nnamdi, a popular social media influencer and a supporter of the Labour Party and Peter Obi who was arrested by the interpol in Anambra State during the March 18, gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections, has said he was accused of “calling out” the police and planning to stage a protest to overthrow the government. SaharaReporters had reported that Nnamdi was arrested over alleged cyberstalking on Saturday March 18, 2023 by the police in Anambra State and regained his freedom after about five days.
