MARTINSBURG, W.Va. â A scheduled Jan. 6 murder trial in Berkeley County was postponed on Wednesday after the judge was advised that the defendant has tested positive for COVID-19.
The trial for Robert L. Kramerage, 39, was previously delayed earlier this month after one of the state s witnesses had tested positive for the virus.
The trial was reset for Feb. 24 by 23rd Judicial Circuit Judge Bridget Cohee, who concluded that the trial should be moved out of an abundance of caution.
Kramerage, who is being held at Eastern Regional Jail, is one of three men who have been charged in connection with the March 2019 fatal shooting of Joshua Case, 34, at his Martinsburg-area home.
