And the terrorist attacks earlier this week in boston downtown here in the back bay area. right. regardless of what happened on monday, the activity that s being described in watertown tonight, explosives, gun shootouts, fleeing, carjacking, is very unusual for this city. very unusual for watertown. so this is something that would have such a massive police presence and i m pretty confident that we ll hear something relatively soon from formal channels about who they have. i think that that s true. we re hearing lofts things. you mean whether or not specifically somebody related to the fbi s request about suspects who were involved. people who like to follow this stuff in real time, there s a lots of things that are being read about that the boston police have on scanners that is disclosing whether or not or that they are the same folks as the boston marathon culprits or ....
Pardon me. just to reiterate what we heard from the massachusetts state police, if you are in or around watertown, massachusetts, which is a community outside boston, massachusetts, do not let anyone in your house unless you know the person is an identified police officer. do not leave your house. there is a manhunt going on in that area right now. this individual is being sought. we believe in connection to at least the killing of one and the wounding of another police officer on the campus of m.i.t. and a metropolitan boston transit authority officer in the watertown area. police are operating and this is not a fact but police are operating on an assumption that these individuals may have a connection to the terrorist activity at the boston marathon on monday. that does not mean they re ....
Just about a mile or so away from where i m standing right now, near back bay, where the in the back bay neighborhood where the boston marathon attacks took place. the activity began at about 7:30 eastern time this evening. that s when the m.i.t. activity began. there was a carjacking, a chase. it went into watertown, which is not far from the m.i.t. campus and it resulted in at least one arrest. i also want to alert our viewers that the fbi put out two new photographs. i m hoping i m that our production team can put them up on the screen. the fbi has put up two new photographs of the suspects, earlier this evening at 5:15 eastern time here in boston, the fbi seeking the help of the public, put out photographs of the suspects wanted in the boston marathon terrorist attacks on monday. one individual with a black hat. you see him on the screen. ....
Area because of undetonated explosives. cell phones have been ordered off for police and media because of undetonated explosives. i m not drawing any connection or correlation to what happened on monday, but there was a similar type of situation where initially after the first two attacks, law enforcement was asking everyone to not use their cell phones because they were concerned at that point in time that there could potentially be other explosive devices in the area that could possibly be triggered by cell phone activity. so, this would suggest that they are also encouraging everyone to not use their cell phones right now because of those undetonated things. shawn is on the phone now. where are you right now? we re in we re right next to the location where the first suspect was taken down. a fire truck has moved away from the scene. but only slightly. they have now the police have all rushed about a block away from here. ....
