Delhi police issues traffic advisory as Kanwar Yatra commences today
Approximately 7,000 police personnel have been deployed by the Delhi Police, and temporary control rooms have been established to monitor the yatra round the clock in three shifts. In sensitive areas, multiple meetings have taken place to promote peace and harmony. These areas will also be closely monitored using drones and CCTV cameras. Northeast Delhi, in particular, will witness the deployment of individuals from diverse communities at camps to foster harmony and assist devotees. Over 200 camps have been established across Delhi to provide support to kanwariyas throughout their journey.
