Accelerate the investments they already had under way. and they have to think about how they respond to storms and respond to events like this in the future. i don t know if there s a single easy fix, i guess. and back to the baggage issue. you know, we were covering the story throughout the week, as the problem started beginning right before christmas. you know, i was hearing about the baggage getting to the destination. but the passengers were stranded at the original airports. so, reuniting passengers with their luggage is going to be quite a task, isn t it? well, yes. i still hear from people, even today, who, you know, maybe they got where they were going, like you said, but there bag hasn t. they re not sure when it s coming back. southwest has been working on that, they have suited up a group of volunteers to help triage the bags and help to ship bags through fedex to help lighten the loads on the planes. ....
Finally getting back on track. even though it cancelled another 2300 flights today, the airline says it expects normal operations with minimal disruptions tomorrow. the company s executives are once again offering their deepest apologies to customers. but now they re promising reimbursements for expenses to passengers. meanwhile the baggage issue is still a mess, look at these images of unclaimed bags piling up. reports now that some are being stolen. the big question tonight, when will all the travelers whose flights were cancelled actually be able to get to their destinations. blayne alexander starts us off tonight. reporter: after days of what industry experts call a meltdown, southwest airlines say it s prepared to return to normal operations tomorrow. so far, fewer than 50 cancellations are planned. a vast improvement after a week that saw more than 15,000 flights cancelled. including more than 2300 just today. i haven t given up yet, but i ve given up on southwest. ....
