3,000 senior citizens get Covid-19 jabs


MORE than 3,000 senior citizens in Baguio City have received the Covid-19 vaccines.
Cecile Agpawa, risk communications team head of the Baguio City Health Services Office (BCHSO), said although this is still far from their target, some district health services units have already finished the first dose of inculcation for registered senior citizens.
“Since April 21 when we started the vaccination process for senior citizens in Baguio City, 3,091 have actually been vaccinated, but our target in the city to be vaccinated is 22,000. There are upcoming inoculation schedules to be released by the BCHSO and hopefully, we can administer this to all the 22,000 senior citizens that have been registered,” Agpawa said. ....

AT LEAST 80 percent of Baguio City s population is being eyed for vaccination against coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Dr. Rowena Galpo, Baguio City Health Services Office (CHSO) chief, said that based on their calculations, which targets 80 percent of the population of the city, around 190,000 people will be vaccinated.
Galpo added the target age group is 18 years old and above and would be vaccinated twice. ....
