Abilene Woman Arrested for Aggravated Assault   TYE, TX – A 27-year-old woman is out on bail after police say she was involved in a shooting over the weekend. According to law enforcement, the shooting occurred on April 18th around 3:15 a.m.  When Tye Police officers arrived at 126 South Access Road, they located a victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. Abilene woman arrested in shooting of woman in Tye TYE – An Abilene woman was arrested after she allegedly shot another woman on a south interstate access road  here this week, Tye police said. Bakiya Smith, 27, surrendered Wednesday at the Taylor County Jail after a warrant was issued for her arrest on a charge of second-degree felony aggravated assault, police said.  She was released Thursday on a $100,000 bond, according to jail records.
