The Pakistan Election Commission has reported on bomb and grenade attacks in Balochistan, which occurred a few days before the Pakistan general elections on February 8. At least ten attacks occurred in different areas of Balochistan in one day, resulting in the death of one man. The Balochistan government tightened security in all cities and towns across the province.

As per initial reports, a magnetic bomb was planted in Jamot's vehicle, SHO Pindrani said, adding that further investigation was underway. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
Seventeen Pakistani soldiers and five civilians have lost their lives in fresh attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.
The alleged suicide blast is the latest in a string of terror attacks that have taken place in in the country's western part.
