Gadsden City Hall is closed effective immediately, according to a news release from city officials. The release said the closure was “an effort to continue to keep the public and our staff safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.” Gadsden joined Southside, which closed its City Hall earlier this week, and Attalla, which closed its facility last week. According to the release, the Gadsden closure “will be re-evaluated weekly as we carefully monitor the changing situation and modify our plans.” The facility was closed for a month during the early stages of the pandemic.
