The idol of Ram Lalla was unveiled at Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple in Ayodhya by Musuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj. The idol, made from a three-billion-year-old rock known as 'Krishna Shile', was adorning the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple. Yogiraj, a fifth-generation sculptor, expressed his excitement and mentioned his previous works, including the idol of Adi Shankaracharya and the statue of Subhas Chandra Bose. He learned sculpting from his father and his family watched the ceremony live on TV.
'I have always felt that Lord Ram has been shielding me and my family from all the bad times and I strongly believe that it is him, who chose me for the auspicious task,' Yogiraj, who has received effusive praise for his work, told PTI.
