Shillong, May 29 (IANS) Traffic movement on the National Highway that passes through Meghalaya, connecting Tripura, Mizoram, and Manipur, including southern Assam, was restored, officials said on Wednesday.
Guwahati, July 2 (IANS) The National Highway 6 which passes via Meghalaya crossing Shillong from Guwahati connects at least four northeastern states – Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, and Southern Assam with the rest of India.
Preliminary note on the ‘Disastrous Tupul Railway Station Landslide, Noney district, Manipur’ submitted by Nongmaithem Herojit Singh, senior geologist; James Pebam, superintending Geologist GSI, SU: MN, Imphal Office, published on July 8, reported that the landslide occurred at the construction site of the Tupul Railway station, which is 50 km away from Imphal.
