NEW HANOVER CTY - The New Hanover County Board of Commissioners held a swearing in ceremony on Monday December 7th. Incumbent County Commissioner  Jonathan Barfield, Jr. and newly-elected Commissioners Deb Hays and Bill Rivenbark took the oath of office.
Commissioner Barfield is entering his fourth term on the Board of Commissioners. He s severed since 2008. Commissioners Hays and Rivenbark will be serving their first terms on the board. All three will serve four-year terms and join Commissioners Julia Olson-Boseman and Rob Zapple on the board. ....
