Patra Chawl scam: Varsha Raut will be the first woman under the ED scanner to face the investigators in the Patra Chawl case which had erupted in 2018, while another woman whose name figures in the case turned a witness.
The ED has called Varsha Raut to appear before it on Saturday (August 6)
ED summons Varsha Raut, wife of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut in relation to the Patra Chawl Case. The leader was arrested on Monday, after a raid on their residence.
The Enforcement Directorate issued summons after transactions made in her account in connection with the money laundering probe came to light.
“Sanjay Raut has been arrested. The BJP is afraid of him and got him arrested. They haven’t given us any documents (regarding his arrest). He has been framed. He will be produced in court tomorrow at 11.30 am,” claimed Sunil Raut on Sunday.
