Abstract In this paper, multi-antenna transceiver for zero-padded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system is designed at mmWave by integrating full-duplex unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) into the terrestrial cellular networks. Assuming that there exist no direct communication links between the ground base station (GBS) and the mobile users due to unexpected blockages from high storied buildings in urban area, the UAV applies decode-and-forward cooperative strategy on the received OFDM signals transmitted from GBS and re-transmits to the ground mobile users and passive eavesdrop...
What is the Best Network Type for Your Critical IoT Operations? By Nick Koiza Tuesday, May 18, 2021 | Comments Several technology options exist for deploying IoT solutions focused on critical needs. These principally fall into two low-power wide area (LPWA) network classifications: licensed 4G and 5G cellular, and non-cellular LPWA. The Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) has defined cellular LPWA network standards offering various IoT approaches. In the case of 4G, connectivity choices include narrownand IoT (NB-IoT) and LTE-M, while 5G promises New Radio IoT (NR-IoT). Commonly ado...
HTC has announced its newest gaming virtual reality headset for the PC – the Vive Pro 2. More than three years after the Vive Pro's release, the company revealed the specifications and price point for the 2021 successor, and the details are very impressive on paper. The Vive Pro 2 will display at 5K resolution (2448 x 2448 pixels per eye, which adds up to 4896 x 2448), with a "beautifully fluid" refresh rate of 120Hz and a field of view of 120 degrees. Paul Heran/HTC HTC claims that the upgrades from the previous model will 'virtually eliminate' the immersion-breaking screen door effect a...
Today, HTC announced its latest flagship VR headset – the HTC VIVE Pro 2. The new headset looks very similar to the original Vive Pro, but introduces several improvements, including higher resolution displays with higher refresh rates. The Vive Pro 2 features a 5K resolution display, so 2.5K per eye resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate to match the Valve Index. HTC has also improved the field of view, offering 120 degrees FoV thanks to a dual-stacked lens design. Paired with the higher resolution display, these lenses further reduce the ‘screen door effect’, so the space between pixels...
