There are close to 800 food pantries on college campuses across the U.S., up from only 80 a decade ago.

The Bruin Commuter Hub and UCLA Basic Needs Center hosted an event to highlight resources for transfer and commuter students on Thursday. The “Strathmore Spotlight” event provided a tour of both the facilities and offered free lunch to UCLA students.
