WAEC Needs A Regulator – Think Tank
Mr Kofi Asare, the Executive Director of the Africa Education Watch, says the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), needs a regulator. He said the regulator would help to standardise the Council’s operations and ensure that it delivered as expected to produce “true and learned students.” Mr Asare said that had become necessary because WAEC set its questions, marked by itself, and did an assessment of schools, students, and their results as well as examiners by itself.
