Harry G. Stephens, age 93, a resident of the town of Hopem, died Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at the Wells House Nursing Home in Johnstown. He was born in Gloversville, NY, on August 4 1927, the son of the late Harry and Bertha Knapp Stephens. Harry was a United States Army veteran serving in Japan during WW II. He received the WW II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal Japan.
He married Leona P. Edwards on February 14, at the Batchellerville Church, who predeceased him in 2011.
Survivors include his favorite son, Gary Stephens (Deb) of Northville; daughters, Nancy Sauve (Andy) of Northville, Pat Curry of Johnstown, Janet Bunn of Gloversville and Susan Adams (Dave) of Northville. Several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive him. ....
