Unpaid carers urged to come forward to book coronavirus vaccine

CARERS have been urged to book their coronavirus vaccine appointment.  All adult carers in receipt of a DWP Carers Allowance or registered with their GP as a carer can access the national booking service, instead of waiting to be contacted.  Carers under the age of 18 are advised to wait to be contacted by their GP.  Those eligible will be able to choose to have the Covid-19 jab at Salisbury City Hall or Bath Racecourse, or at one of three local pharmacies currently offering a vaccination service.  They are Avicenna Pharmacy in Swindon, Shaunaks Pharmacy in Westbury and the Phar...

RETIRED teacher Nigel Viles says his 92-year-old mother might have died if she had not had the Covid-19 vaccination to protect against the deadly coronavirus. His mother Kate, who recently tested positive for Covid at the Blenheim House care home in Melksham, is much less at risk having had a jab five weeks ago.
