July 4th Fireworks Spectacular

Gregory Popovich knows as much about keeping kid's attention as he does his pets. As my 4-year-old and I sat down Thursday evening to watch Popovich Comedy Pet Theater at the Walton Arts Center, my son decided to cover his face with the program and declared that he wasn't going to watch it. Coaxing him to look around the room before the show was fruitless. He was on a mission to have no fun.

Whether you sing or only wish you could, the VoiceJam A Cappella Festival is music to the ears as it returns in person this year to the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville. The “aca-awesome” tradition was virtual last year due to the pandemic, but on April 9, the day will be filled with workshops by professional a cappella performers before competitors from across the country flex their moves and intricate vocal harmonies on the Baum Walker stage.

The excitement walking into "Hamilton" at the Walton Arts Center Wednesday evening was palpable. As the Baum Walker Theater filled prior to the show, people snapped quick pictures of that infamous, rough-hewn wooden stage that would transform into early America in front of our very eyes.
