The Siddaramaiah government has appointed retired High Court Justice H.N. Nagamohan Das to probe the “40 per cent commission” allegation made by the Karnataka State Contractors’ Association against the previous BJP government.
The FIR had been lodged against the President of BBMP Contractors’ Association KT Manjunath and 57 others.
The BBMP Working Contractors Association submitted a letter to Karnataka Governor, alleging that a commission of 10-15% was being demanded on behalf of Bengaluru City Development Minister DK Shivakumar.
The dues to contractors were withheld after state government announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team to probe the works carried out in BBMP limits. Hemanth, the contractor who accused Dy CM Shivakumar of demanding bribe, has also withdrawn his statement.
