East London’s young innovator Kiyara Swartbooi earned a silver medal at the 43rd Beijing Youth Science Fair which was held in China over the Easter holidays. She won for her project, “Thermal Facet: A Smart Water Management System”, which aids the visually impaired who have hearing difficulties and helps them conserve water by letting them know when their bathtubs have filled up. ....

Unpaid homelands pensioners dying while waiting for their money, says Bantu Holomisa
