Newborn heart surgery helps toddler born with Down syndrome thrive
Diagnosed in the womb with Down syndrome and a hole between the chambers of his heart, Beau Dillard, now 2, underwent a six-hour surgery at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to repair his heart when he was just 5 weeks' old. Today, Kennesaw, Georgia, the 2-year-old is doing well.
