Regional tournaments got underway Thursday for baseball and softball in Arkansas. Cotter’s softball team punched its ticket to next week’s state tournament after their high-scoring opener in the Class 2A West Regional Tournament at Keller Park in Mountain Home. The Lady Warriors edged out Lavaca 16-15. Acorn will be Cotter’s next opponent in the regional semifinals. Yellville-Summit was eliminated by the Lady Tigers 11-1.
