DRIVER: Unit 2 PRELIMINARY: A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 and 2 were traveling eastbound on IL Highway 33, west of 1700th Avenue. Unit 1 passed Unit 2 and re-entered the eastbound lane of traffic too soon. Unit 1 struck Unit 2, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway to the right. PRELIMINARY: A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling south on Interstate 57 near milepost 158 in Effingham County. The driver of Unit 1 ran off the roadway to the right and struck a guardrail. Unit 1 then spun back onto the roadway and came to rest facing northbound in the southbound lane. Unit 2 was traveling south on Interstate 57 and struck the front of Unit 1. The driver of Unit 1 was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries.
