BEML Q4 PAT down 14% to Rs 160 cr


BEML's standalone net profit dropped 14.16% to Rs 159.94 crore on 66.33% increase in net sales to Rs 1,773.81 crore in Q4 March 2021 over Q4 March 2020.Profit before tax soared 25.30% to Rs 177.95 crore in Q4 FY21 as against Rs 142.01 crore in Q4 FY20.
During the financial year, BEML's net profit climbed 9.39% to Rs 74.80 crore on 17.45% rise in revenue from operations to Rs 3,557.21 crore in FY 2021 over FY 2020.
The board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 1.20 per equity share for the year ended 31 March 2021.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed that the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) and NITI Aayog have concurred to the proposal of incorporation of wholly-owned subsidiary (WoS) of BEML for demerger of surplus land and asset as part of BEML's strategic divestment process undertaken by Government of India (GoI).

BEML unveils mechanical minefield marking equipment for Indian Army


The equipment is designed for marking the mine fields at faster rate, semi-automatically with minimal human intervention.BEML has rolled out the first prototype of mechanical minefield marking equipment Mk-II, built on BEML TATRA 6x6 an 'Atmanirbhar' product, developed through Technology of Transfer (ToT) from Research & Development Establishment Engineers (R&DE Engineers), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
MK-II will greatly benefit Indian army to mark/fence minefields. The equipment is capable of marking/fencing at a minimum rate of 1.2 km/hr with inter-picket spacing of 15 m. MMME Mkc-II system is designed to operate in plains of Punjab, as well as semi-desert & desert of Rajasthan, in all weather conditions. The system can store 500 numbers of pickets and polypropylene rope of 15 km in length.

BEML bags orders from Cameroon & Bangladesh | Business Standard News


BEML has received export orders from Cameroon and Bangladesh under Government of India-Lines of credit to supply construction equipment.
The order for Cameroon has been received from Ministry of Economy, Planning & Regional Development (MOEPRD), Government of Cameroon for supply of 71 units of construction equipment consisting of Bulldozers, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Motor graders and Compactors for their Cassava Farm Project.
The order for Bangladesh has been received from Ministry of Roads & Highways Department, Government of Bangladesh for supply of construction equipment consisting of Wheel Dozer for their construction, Repair and Maintenance of Road and Infrastructure projects in Bangladesh.
Valuing at around $23 million, these equipment will be having more than 90% indigenous content and will be manufactured at BEML's KGF and Mysore plants in Karnataka.

BEML has received export orders from Cameroon and Bangladesh under Government of India - Lines of credit.

BEML gains on appointing consultant for demerger of non-core assets


The scrip extended gains for second day. The stock has added 1.82% in two sessions.
In the past three months, the stock has added 60.10% while the benchmark Sensex has added 11.75% during the same period.
On the technical front, the stock's RSI (relative strength index) stood at 71.702. The RSI oscillates between zero and 100. Traditionally, the RSI is considered overbought when above 70 and oversold when below 30.
The stock was trading above its 50-day, 100-day and 200-day daily simple moving average (DMA) placed at 987.32, 837.25 and 740.01, respectively.
BEML is a multi-technology schedule 'A' company under the Ministry of Defence. The company operates in three verticals viz. defence & aerospace, mining & construction and rail & metro. As on 31 December 2020, the government held 54.03% stake in BEML.

New order win boosts BEML


BEML gained 3.06% to Rs 1,023 after the company received orders from Ministry of Defence for supply of High Mobility vehicles, at an approximate value of Rs 758 crore.
BEML said the High Mobility vehicles would play a key role in the logistics management of the Indian Army leveraging on its exceptional cross country capabilities. These vehicles would enable armoured fighting vehicles, troops, ammunitions and stores to be moved to far-flung, difficult terrains in operational areas.
The equipment will be manufactured at BEML's Palakkad Plant in Kerala and would supply the vehicles to Indian Army in a span of one year.

Asahi India Glass Ltd surged 13.78% to Rs 286.95 at 11:48 IST. The stock was the biggest gainer in the BSE's 'A' group. On the BSE, 91100 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 7877 shares in the past one month.
India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd spiked 12.47% to Rs 340.9. The stock was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 1.33 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 24516 shares in the past one month.
