The family of Ben Kable, the 22-year-old who was killed in a hit-and-run in Oakland Township, says his son was doing the responsible thing when he took an Uber on New Year's Day - but was killed by a driver who refused to stop.

Michigan State University student Benjamin Kable was hit and killed while he was in Oakland Township during the holiday break.

"A terrible crash like this is horrific enough,” Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. “But to flee the scene and leave a person in the road like trash, is unforgivable. We need the public's help finding this person."
