Boozed-up Amazon worker used stun-gun on friend during drunken row AN argument between two boozed-up pals ended when an Amazon worker used an illegal stun-gun – which he bought from the firm – on his friend. Donatas Medzius grabbed the weapon, which was disguised as a torch, when drunken high-jinx spiralled out of control. The 28-year-old was arrested when police were called to Cartmell Terrace, Darlington, at around 10.30pm last May. Care worker stole more than £5,000 from vulnerable woman

A CARER who stole thousands of pounds from a vulnerable elderly woman she cared for has been spared jail. Andrea Whytock's actions were branded "despicable" by District Judge Helen Cousins, who said her behaviour was not easy to forgive. Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court heard that the 78-year-old victim saw Whytock as a friend as they often went shopping together.
