HP has launched a new ACPC (always connected PC) alongside its notebooks and other peripherals at CES 2021. The HP Elite Folio aims to offer a tablet s portability with the processing power of a laptop. It also comes with a stylus out of the box. The HP Elite Folio will be available for purchase in February 2021. HP says that it will disclose its price at a later point.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx SoC powers the HP Folio Elite with a maximum clock speed of 3.1GHz. 5G functionality is possible thanks to its integrated X55 modem. It is possible to configure the tablet with up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM (soldered) and 512GB of solid-state storage via an NVMe SSD. ....

An engineering sample of what seems to be an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G Cezanne Zen 3 APU has leaked on Chinese site QQ along with some initial CPU-Z numbers. These numbers show the Ryzen 7 5700G ES displaying considerable gains in single and multi-thread scores over the Ryzen 7 3700X and the Ryzen 7 4700G.

The OPPO Find X3 may have been spotted tearing up benchmarks in new leaks ahead of its launch. Now, the prolific leaker Evan Blass claims that it is to follow its predecessor in having a Lite variant in its series. This prospect led to an admittedly underwhelmed reception here on NBC in 2020. However, it looks like the putative X3 Lite has what it takes to meet with more approval.
Its previous generation was in fact a re-brand of the low-impact Reno Youth Edition for markets such as Europe. However, Blass asserts that OPPO has had a re-think for 2021, and will make the full-on vanilla Reno5 variant the Find X3 Lite instead. ....

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T with MediaTek Dimensity 800U aims to bring 5G to the masses

A few days ago, we reported about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T leaking in full. The Note 9T is essentially a rebadged Note 9 5G that was released in China back in November 2020. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T aims to bring 5G into more affordable price brackets.
Xiaomi says that the Note 9T features multiple antennas, 4x4 MIMO, and can handle two 5G SIMs simultaneously. The company also claims that the combination of the Dimensity 800U and UFS 2.2 storage makes the Note 9T up to 100% faster than the previous generation. The UFS 2.2 storage, however, comes only with the 4/128 GB option. Widevine L1 certification means users can play back Netflix and Amazon Prime videos in FHD resolution. ....
