A Bend man was jailed on a list of charges after barricading himself in a vacant house in northwest Bend Tuesday. Bend Police officers were dispatched at 10:30 a.m. to a burglary in progress in the 400 block of NW State Street . The reporting party advised there was a male inside a vacant house and the owner of the house advised that nobody should be in the residence. A 31 foot travel trailer caught fire after a propane heater was left too close to a frozen plastic sewer hose. According to a news release from Bend Fire and Rescue: On January 1, 2021 at 2:37 pm, Bend Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a report of an RV on fire at the Crown Villa RV Resort, 60801 Brosterhous Rd. Bend Fire officials are warning residents to be mindful of keeping pets away from stoves and appliances after a house fire displaced a family Tuesday night in northeast Bend. A neighbor called 911 shortly before 8:00 p.m. to report a fire on the roof of a nearby home, located 63254 Gallop Court.
