COVID-19: Daily update on coronavirus cases in Erie County and statewide
Erie County's numbers of new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continued to decline Wednesday, though its number of deaths due to the new coronavirus remains high. Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper on Wednesday reported 59 new cases of COVID-19. It's the lowest daily number of new cases since Nov. 8, except for Dec. 28 (46 cases) and Jan. 4 (55 cases), which were both Mondays following holidays and susceptible to reporting lags.
