The local stakeholders of Puerto Bueno Mountain, St Ann, have raised concerns about the failed petition on the Office of the Prime Minister’s (OPM) website to stop mining in the Dry Harbour Mountains. Petition to OPM to stop mining in Dry Harbour Mountains derailed

A petition against mining in a section of the Dry Harbour Mountains in St Ann has failed to get the 15,000 signatures it needed to prompt an official response from Prime Minister Andrew Holness. The petition was created on November 17, and up to Sunday of this week, when it closed, it had received only 5,548 signatures.
