A political analyst noted that Bengaluru Urban District has consistently reported the lowest voter turnout compared to other districts in the state across all Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections spanning the last three decades. Despite extensive efforts by the EC and various NGOs to motivate voters in the city during the current Karnataka polling phase, the expected increase in voter turnout has not materialised, indicating a limited impact from these initiatives.
According to BBMP, the combined vaccine will be administered to street dogs found in various zones as well as in ABC centres so microchipping will help avoid vaccination at both stages.
According to the Draft Electoral Rolls-2024, the total number of general electors was 5,33,77,162, comprising 2,68,02,838 male electors, 2,65,69,428 female electors, and 4,896 other electors.
“A meeting was held with the authorities. They have assured us they will look into the matter within 15 days. We will again launch an indefinite agitation if the authorities fail to meet our demands,’’ said Karnataka State Anganwadi Teachers and Helpers Federation secretary M Jayamma.
