To manage waste, including puja materials like flowers, banana leaves, and other items collected at disposal centres, officials were directed to ensure that cleaning staff and transport vehicles are equipped to collect and dispose of these materials properly in designated containers.”
According to the officials, the facility is still in the trial stage and can go live only after the due procedure is followed, i.e. after the trial run. Earlier, BM had written that ICCC would be up and functional from August 24 as the trial period had started on July 24.
One of the areas significantly impacted by the removal of these cables is Sarjapura. Many residents complained of internet problems after the cables were removed. With an increasing number of individuals working from home, the lack of internet connectivity has led to a slew of challenges, including missed workdays and strained productivity. The residents also complained that the cables after being cut off were left haphazardly on the road.
