Here is the satellite picture showing a big loop of the jet stream pullimh this main area of low pressure just to the west of spain and portugal. however we have a weather front close enough to the jet to feel some influence and this will bring the threat of rain. it will push into wales. we have already seen rain arrive in snowdonia but it gets more extensively through the rest of the day and will move eastwards so we will probably see rain getting into northern england around greater manchester and merseyside and the north west midlands and probably extend across the pennines into yorkshire ...
