Were good faith negotiations. democrats showed optimism about the top with senator scott. realistically, how much can republicans be counted on to negotiate this in good faith? we all saw the movement in this country that took people to the streets and demand reform. republicans have just kind of diffused let the pressure out. we re not seeing the same kind of protests. where these negotiations really done by the republicans in good faith, or where they simply meant to drag this out until it s no longer on the top of the agenda as we now see? big p color me cynical. i think you used exactly the right term. the former mayor did as well. good faith. i don t think republicans were ever negotiating in good faith. whether or not tim scott had an ounce of good faith, we will let that verdict hang out there. the republicans at large had no interest in police reform, for really two reasons. defund the police narrative, whether it is accurate or not. ....
