Leaders with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks have unveiled a new draft plan for managing grizzly bears, and they’re asking the public for their thoughts.
The plan, once finalized, will guide the state’s management of the species under the Endangered Species Act.
The 230-pound male and 172-pound female appeared to be 2-year-old siblings that had been observed traveling together much of the summer.
The injured grizzly had to be euthanized, while a second female received a radio collar and relocation to an undisclosed location.
