Des Moines Register Bahena Rivera, 26, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 20-year-old Tibbetts, whose July 2018 disappearance sparked a massive monthlong manhunt around her hometown of Brooklyn, Iowa, before her body was found concealed in a cornfield in southeast Poweshiek County.
