A MAN from Weston-super-Mare has been jailed for 12 weeks, for assaulting two police constables. Stephen Mark Emsley, of Locking Road, deliberately kicked and spat at the officers, with the threat of infectious disease. The 46-year-old gave a guilty plea to the above offences, as well as that of trespassing and stealing a screwdriver set of unknown value. As well as the prison sentence, he was ordered to pay £75 to each of the officers - £150 in total.
