By advocating for a feeder minibus service, the campaign aims to improve commuting options for residents and reduce reliance on private vehicles, consequently easing traffic congestion and reducing air pollution in the region.

A frequent commuter said, “During the monsoons when it rains or turns cloudy, the areas below the metro station tend to get very dark. People who choose to halt under these stations for shelter can easily go unnoticed. Those driving on the road must be very careful.” He added that if the authorities installed sufficient lighting, the risk of mishaps would decrease.

The Purple Line was under much limelight as, prior to the recently conducted assembly polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the stretch from KR Puram to Whitefield, despite a lack of connection between Baiyappanahalli and KR Puram due to pending work in Benniganahalli. ​

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is working hard to complete the missing links on the Purple Line by August. This will make the entire 43.5-km route operational, connecting Challaghatta with Whitefield (Kadugodi).
