ชาวต่างชาติอายุ 60 ปีขึ้นไป ที่อยู่ในประเทศไทยเข้ารับการฉีดวัคซีนโควิด-19 ที่สถานีกลางบางซื่อ คาดสามารถนัดหมายการฉีดได้วันละประมาณ 200-300 คน
วันที่ 26 กรกฎาคม 2564 มีรายงานว่า นายธานี แสงรัตน์ อธิบดีกรมสารนิเทศและโฆษกกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และนายฉัตรชัย วิริยเวชกุล อธิบดีกรมการกงสุล พร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่ของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้เดินทางไปเยี่ยมชมศูนย์ฉีดวัคซีนสถานีกลางบางซื่อ เมื่อวันที่ 25 กรกฎาคม ที่ได้เปิดให้บริการแก่ชาวต่างชาติที่อาศัยอยู่ในประเทศไทยอายุ 75 ปีขึ้นไป สามารถเดินทางมารับการฉีดวัคซีนได้โดยไม่ต้องลงทะเบียนล่วงหน้า หรือแบบ Walk-in
ส่วนชาวต่างชาติที่มีอายุ 60 ปีขึ้นไป ต้องลงทะเบียนล่วงหน้าผ่านระบบลงทะเบียนของกรมการกงสุล หรือ คลิกที่นี่ และจะได้รับแจ้งวัน-เวลานัดหมายให้มารับการฉีดทาง SMS หรืออีเมล ซึ่งคาดว่าจะสามารถจัดนัดหมายการฉีดได้วันละประมาณ 200-300 คน ทั้งนี้จะขยายบริการระบบการลงทะเบียนล่วงหน้าเพื่อฉีดวัคซีนให้แก่ชาวต่างชาติกลุ่มอายุอื่นๆ ได้ต่อไป โดยมี พญ.มิ่งขวัญ วิชัยดิษฐ ผอ.สถาบันโรคผิวหนัง ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์ฉีดฯ ให้การต้อนรับ
ในโอกาสเดียวกันนี้ คณะของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้พบกับนายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงสาธารณสุข ซึ่งได้เดินทางลงพื้นที่ตรวจเยี่ยมศูนย์ฉีดฯ ในวันเดียวกัน รองนายกรัฐมนตรีฯ ได้เน้นย้ำให้ทุกหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องดูแลการให้บริการฉีดวัคซีนแก่ชาวต่างชาติในประเทศไทยให้ดีที่สุด ตามนโยบายของรัฐบาล ที่ต้องการฉีดวัคซีนให้แก่บุคคลทุกสัญชาติที่อาศัยอยู่ในประเทศไทย เพื่อป้องกันการแพร่ระบาดของโควิด-19 ในประเทศไทยให้ได้โดยเร็วที่สุด
สำหรับข้อมูลการฉีดวัคซีนให้แก่ชาวต่างชาติที่ศูนย์ฉีดสถานีกลางบางซื่อ ระหว่าง 19-24 กรกฎาคม 2564 ได้ฉีดให้ชาวต่างชาติไปแล้วจำนวน 852 คน และในวันที่ 25 กรกฎาคม 2564 ซึ่งเป็นวันแรกที่ได้ทำการนัดหมายชาวต่างชาติอายุ 60 ปีขึ้นไปมาเข้ารับการฉีด สามารถฉีดให้ชาวต่างชาติได้ถึง 1,516 คน รวมชาวต่างชาติที่ได้รับวัคซีนที่ศูนย์ฉีดฯ แล้วรวม 2,386 คน.
