BOARDMAN — Christine M. “Chrissy” Jones, 58, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021. She was born July 15, 1962, in Tiffin, the daughter of Merle Cascaden and Donna J. Steinmetz. Chrissy was a 1980 graduate of Boardman High School. She worked as a bartender at the Budapest Inn for 26 years, where she was loved by all the patrons and knew all their names. Boardman High School senior Ethan Anderson, 18, chooses his breakfast Monday for the school’s annual Scholar’s Breakfast. Each year high school students with at least a 3.5 grade-point average meet for the breakfast. This year the event will be spread out through the week for each grade. YOUNGSTOWN — Joel D. Losco, 36, passed at his residence on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021. He was born March 15, 1984, in Sewickley, Pa., son of Joseph Daniel and Rose McIntosh Losco. He has been a lifelong area resident. Joel graduated from Boardman High School. After graduation, he started working at General Motors Lordstown Plant for several years. He worked as the supervisor of professional maintenance for TTM technologies, then JCC Community Center and recently had been working maintenance at Kohl’s Department Store. BOARDMAN — A book has been donated to the Boardman High School library in honor of Francis J. Ritz of Poland, a former Boardman teacher who died in November 2019 at the age of 102. The book was presented by Darlene Malaska (past president) and Debbie VanArsdale (current president) of the MU Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society of Key Women Educators.
