Suspended BCM officials rake in over R4m in salaries while sitting at home
Ten Buffalo City Metro officials, some sitting at home on suspension since 2019, have earned more than R4m in salaries while essentially doing nothing. A council report tabled on Friday revealed that between April and June, the metro had 48 pending disciplinary cases, including the 10 employees on paid suspension, costing the city R4.
