Two brothers trying to buy shrimp for a birthday party instead wound up brawling with store workers on the night of Feb. 21, with one sibling fatally stabbed and the other facing criminal charges for the brief and lethal encounter where an employee was also arrested.

Around 9 a.m. Wednesday — the morning after Malik Burrell, 25, died allegedly after he was stabbed by an employee of Express Fish Market on St. Nicholas Place near W. 155th St. — “numerous” people yelled at employees and kicked the store’s entrance as it was about to open, said a Manhattan assistant DA.
Francisco Morales had his teeth knocked out during the ordeal - but his colleague Junior Aquino Hernandez quickly rushed to his defense, grabbing a fish knife and allegedly stabbed the two brothers.
