Chaman border reopens for traders, pedestrians after month-long closure
Report by Saeed Achakzai The Chaman border crossing, shared by Pakistan and Afghanistan, was reopened Tuesday after almost a month-long closure. It was closed on October 5 after the Taliban government claimed that traders, passengers, and patients were facing difficulties. The border was reopened after an agreement was reached between the two countries Monday. People from both countries will be able to cross the border on the basis of their identity cards.
