98 MILWAUKEE — Some things you have to witness in person. So thankfully, I drove up to Formerly Miller Park on Monday for the start of the Cubs’ three-game statement series against the Brewers. While I was here, I saw Boog Sciambi, Jim Deshaies, Ron Coomer, Pat Hughes and Zach Zaidman, the Cubs’ TV and radio crews, at a road game. That’s a first this season. They were giddy to be freed from watching another series on their monitors at an empty Wrigley Field. Boy, did we all see some stuff under the roof of this ballpark. We saw Eric Sogard...

Cubs 7, Padres 1: Now that’s more like it Share this story Shutdown starting pitching? Check. Home runs from Cubs batters? Check. Tomorrow's status to be determined by temps/precautions as well as how much bette...

Sara’s Snapshots: Javier Baez has had it with Amir Garrett Share this story Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images Saturday was not the first time Javier Báez and Amir Garrett have exchanged words during a baseball game and judging by Javy’s postgame comments it will not be the last. Al wrote up the kerfuffle as follows in the game recap: Amir Garrett struck out Anthony Rizzo and beat his chest and appeared to say a few words toward the Cubs dugout, which emptied... Javy looked like he wanted a piece of Garrett. Garrett was pretty hot-tempered. No one was hurt or ejected, and the game continu...
