A community-minded musician has been recognised nationally for her efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic. Lynette Beaton was recognised by the Scottish Women's Convention as part of their International Women's Day celebrations. The singer and Boogie Bugs founder was nominated for the accolade by local Amazon community champion, Gillian Maxwell, after she raised over £10,000 for the community with her singing partner, Lauren O'Donoghue.
