The National Transportation Safety Board said the big rig driver slammed on his brakes and skidded across the highway before striking the SUV.

  "We saw one bloke bet the papers of a car worth about $60,000 during one of these card games," he said. "This has been happening because there's a lot of royalty money that's recently been back paid that's out there. "We're talking about around 200 people being paid up to $150,000 each. "Unfortunately, this also means problems with people drinking and secondary supply around Darwin will likely get even worse.
