After days of snow and ice across the north of Scotland, the Met Office says heavy rain might cause disruption on Thursday.
Two Aberdeenshire schools have more pupils than the buildings are deemed suitable for. And a further 24 are near their maximum roll.
A number of schools across the north and north-east will be closed to pupils today after rain and high winds battered the region.

Schools are currently only open to children from key worker families, or those deemed vulnerable, but due to the snow and plummeting temperatures, many head teachers have decided it is not safe to ask pupils or staff to travel.
